Meet The Team
Mike Pitts
Owner, Certified Dog Trainer – ABCDT
Meet Mike!
Meet Mike, the founder of The Doggie Concierge. After serving as a Youth and Family Pastor across the United States for over 15 years, Mike relocated his family back to Ohio for a brief respite. However, he subsequently found a calling in an entirely new field. After working part-time in a box store grooming salon, Mike recognized a shortage of pet care enterprises with integrity and professionalism.
In 2017, he founded The Doggie Concierge with a vision to deliver unparalleled dog care services distinguished by the utmost integrity and professionalism. Mike’s infectious enthusiasm and expertise with dogs have solidified his standing as a trusted personal concierge, tasked with the routine care and training of the dogs owned by many of Cleveland’s familiar faces.
Mike is a graduate of the Animal Behavior College’s Certified Dog Training program. He is a Canine Good Citizen and a Temperament Test Evaluator for the American Kennel Club (AKC). Additionally, he’s an active member of various professional organizations, including the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), Dunbar Academy of Top Dogs, International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), The Pet Professional Guild (PPG), International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA), Pet Sitters International (PSI), and the American Kennel Club (AKC).
Mike resides in North Ridgeville with his wife of 15 years, teenage son, and two tween daughters. They proudly own four rescue dogs: an international Shepherd Mix pup from Istanbul, and a grumble of three Pugs rescued from Amish Country. Two of the three Pugs are special needs pups rescued by Safe Harbor Animal Rescue – one with a cleft palate and the other an amputee.
When Mike is not at work, you can find him enjoying quality time with his family or relaxing with a coffee, cigar in hand, while smoking meats.

Meet Ralph!
Ralph is a veteran of the US Coast Guard and holds an Associate of Science in Electronics. After he served our country, he was a City of Cleveland Fightfighter for twenty-plus years. Post-retirement from Cleveland Fire, Ralph started a business restoring and detailing vintage and exotic cars such as Porsche, Aston Martin, Ferrari, etc. Now truly retired and wanting to stay active, he has since turned his attention to one of his first loves, dogs.
A resident of WestPark, you can find Ralph noodling around his shop, practicing the bass guitar, or attending the Cleveland Orchestra when not at work. His beloved pooch recently crossed the rainbow bridge and says he will adopt again in the future but is content to rescue stray and feral cats until that time.

PEACE OF MIND
We decided early on to staff with W2 employees in an industry of independent contractors. Because we come into contact with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and needs, we needed to be able to train and equip our staff fully. Each employee is certified in Pet CPR & First Aid and has completed several hours in the field alongside a Dog Trainer to learn valuable leash skills and understand and manage basic dog behavior. Beyond training, we vet each employee, background check them, and cover them with a dishonesty bond and liability insurance to give our clients ultimate peace of mind. We support our staff with real-time field support, from technical app help to dog behavior. Though faces may change, quality of care and client experience will not. That is our commitment to you.
