Meet The Team

Mike Pitts
Owner, Certified Dog Trainer – ABCDT
Meet Mike!
Before getting into the Pet Care industry, Mike spent 15 years as a Youth and Family Pastor across the United States, from Atlanta, Georgia, to Seattle, Washington. In 2016, Mike and his family moved back to Northeast Ohio to plant roots and start a new chapter. While returning to school for a career change, Mike got a part-time job as a Groomer’s Apprentice at a Box Store. After hearing less than stellar stories from many regular clients, he quickly realized the need for integrity and professionalism in personal pet care. In March of 2017, The Doggie Concierge was founded with integrity and professionalism at the forefront. The Doggie Concierge has become one of Cleveland’s fastest-growing dog walking companies, and Mike quickly realized his passion project had become his new career calling.
A Certified Dog Training graduate of the Animal Behavior College, Mike continues his studies at Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training & Behavior. He is a Canine Good Citizen and Temperament Test Evaluator for the American Kennel Club (AKC). He holds active memberships with the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT). Dunbar Academy of Top Dogs, International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), The Pet Professional Guild (PPG), International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA), Pet Sitters International (PSI), and the American Kennel Club (AKC).
Mike currently resides in North Ridgeville with his wife of 13 years, son, and two daughters. They have a senior Cane Corso, an Anatolian Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix from Istanbul, and two Pugs. One of the pugs is an amputee affectionately named Lieutenant Dan.

PEACE OF MIND
We decided early on to staff with employees in an industry of independent contractors. Because we come into contact with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and needs, we needed to be able to train and equip our staff fully. Each employee is certified in Pet CPR & First Aid and has completed several hours in the field alongside a Dog Trainer to learn valuable leash skills and understand and manage basic dog behavior. Beyond training, we vet each employee, background check them, and cover them with a dishonesty bond and liability insurance to give our clients ultimate peace of mind. We support our staff with real-time field support, from technical app help to dog behavior. Though faces may change, quality of care and client experience will not. That is our commitment to you.
- Mike, Owner of The Doggie Concierge
